Wednesday 6 May, 2026               BERRAMBOOL OVAL, MERIMBULA
Meet at 9:00 am in the car park within Berrambool Oval, accessed off Berrambool Drive, Merimbula. A surprisingly productive bird habitat including creek, open grassland and forest on level ground. An optional Rainforest Walk too. The Ospreys are there. Bring lunch for a stop on the lakeside.
50 species recorded (including Mistletoebird, Azure Kingfisher and Osprey)

Saturday 9 May, 2026               SEVERS BEACH AND HAYCOCK POINT
Meet at 8:45 am just 100 m into Haycock Rd (signposted by NPWS) off the Princes Highway between Pambula and Eden. Once assembled we’ll convoy to Severs Beach on the Pambula River, then to Haycock Point car park. Here we have beach, headland, bush and scrub for a good variety of species. Bring food and a chair.

9:15 am for 9:30 am in the Panboola Centre, next to Idlewilde Motel.

Sunday 24 May, 2026               KAMERUKA ESTATE PROPERTY
Meet at 9:15 am 500 m along West Kameruka Rd. From Candelo town travel about 4 km north and turn left onto West Kameruka Rd. From Bega, 500 m beyond the Kameruka main entrance on Bega-Candelo Rd, turn right onto West Kameruka Rd and we’ll be there. Explore the property, lunch at Lords Cricket Oval.

Meet for a 7:30 pm start in the Uniting Church Hall, Henwood St, Merimbula.

Saturday 13 June, 2026               CATHCART, BLACK LAKE, BOMBALA
Meet at 9:15 am at the Cathcart Memorial Hall car park. Rug up for a visit to some of our favourite spots around Cathcart/Black Lake/Bombala. Hope to see Flame Robins and a platypus or two. Bring a snack and a chair for a morning tea stop along the way and pack some lunch or pick up a hot takeaway in town.

Sunday 28 June, 2026               BEGA IN WINTER
Meet at 9:15 am at the Bega Saleyards, Kerrisons Lane, Bega ready for the traditional Bega in Winter outing. Visiting at least four sites we always have a great species count of water and bush birds. Bring food but we could well be lunching in the grounds of Bega Cheese Heritage Centre with shop available.

Saturday 11 July, 2026               TATHRA AND MOGAREEKA
Meet at 9:00 am at the Tathra Sewage Treatment Plant on Katung Road off Tathra-Bermagui Road between Tathra and Mogareeka, signposted, plenty of parking. Easy walk along the fire trail. Then to Mogareeka for morning tea and explore the Moon Bay trail in Mimosa NP. Lunch at the Lions Park or in Tathra. Expect a good range of species from beach and bush. Bring food, drink and a chair.

Wednesday 15 July, 2026               PANBOOLA SURVEY
Meet at 8:30 am at the Panboola Centre, next to Idlewilde Motel in Bullara St, Pambula for the winter survey. Could be wet underfoot. Carry snack and drink, hat and insect repellent. Takes about 3 hours.

Monday 20 July, 2026               COMMITTEE MEETING (3rd Monday)
9:15 am for 9:30 am in the Panboola Centre, next to Idlewilde Motel.

Sunday 26 July, 2026               BIRD ROUTE 3, WYNDHAM to ROCKY HALL
Meet at 9:00 am between the school and the Wyndham Store. We’ll be heading for Rocky Hall with a few stops on the way and lunch at the Big Jack Mountain picnic area. Bring a chair, food and drink. Targets: Finches and Robins.

Saturday 8 August, 2026               CORUNNA LAKE, private property
A day out. Allow about an hour drive from Bega to be at your destination at 9:30 am to meet Annabelle. Head north on the Princes Highway, pass through Cobargo and Tilba. Continue on Princes Highway to find The Old Highway signposted pointing to the Tilba Winery. Turn left into the Old Highway and immediately pull over to the left and assemble. Annabelle will have 3 stops for us at the back of Corunna Lake. Bring provisions as usual.

Thursday 13 August, 2026               EVENING MEETING
Meet for a 7:30 pm start in the Uniting Church Hall, Henwood St, Merimbula. Bird photos on screen. Sightings from members. Guest Speaker will be Nicholas Carlile presenting A long term study of an island-breeding population of Little Penguins.
